Experience:
Paul Stephenson's core skill is designing and implementing large scale change processes involving multiple organisations and complex processes. Paul's projects often also involve environments that require an element of societal change.
Paul's role in the Synap team is to oversee client relationships, and support the creation of value from the insights.

Experience:
Peter Carswell leads the development and delivery of the Synap approach within Synergia. As an organisational psychologist he has a broad range of experience in analysing organisational challenges and developing effective solutions. He works with commercial, public sector, and NGO clients to help improve processes of change and innovation.
His role in the Synap team is work with the client to help clarify the issues they wish to address in developing increased performance within their network. The network could be a team, across an organisation, across multiple organisations, or across whole communities. He then works with the clients to develop strategies that the insights from the Synap approach provides.

BA Hons, Psychology, (Massey), MBA (Babson College - MA USA), Post Graduate Study in Organisational Design (University of Auckland), Post Graduate study in Systems Dynamics (WPI – MA USA)
Experience:
Philip is a founding member of Synergia and acted as Synergia’s Managing Director from 1999 to 2007. He currently leads Synergia’s Australian operations.
Philip has extensive experience in organisational and complex systems design through a consulting practice started in 1989 and prior corporate experience.
Philip's core skills relate to his strong understanding of complex systems, the ability to synthesise and distil into strategies for effective action then translate these into practical design for policy, systems, organisations, programmes and processes.
Philip has over 20 years experience in supporting the collaborative development of health networks and systems of care with a special interest in integrated care; bridging primary, community and hospital based services and integrated services across health, social and justice services.

Linden Dale-Gandar

Experience:
Linden is a research analyst at Synergia with a particular interest in the intelligent use of data (both qualitative and quantitative), information and technology to inform and improve decision making. He has a strong skillset in robust quantitative and qualitative analysis, literature and information synthesis, and data design and presentation.
Since joining Synergia he has both supported and lead a range of projects, including research and evaluation projects, literature reviews, social network analyses and development of prioritisation and resource allocation processes.
He has also been a key member of the Informis, Synap, and Beyond Brainstorming development team.
Nishadie Jayasekera

Experience:
Nishadie has worked with Synergia since July 2008. Since joining Synergia she has been a member of Synergia's research and evaluation team both as a research analyst and project manager. Nishadie has a well rounded skill base covering both qualitative and quantitative research, her strong communication skills means she is effective at coordinating and engaging with a range of stakeholders and consumers at all community and organisation levels. Nishadie has worked on a range of project around Pacific disability services, health impact assessments, and community physical activity recreation programmes.
Her role in the Synap team to provide data to day client support, project manage the initiatives, and contribute to the data analysis.
Tim Marshall
Public Relations and Communication Management Applications

Experience:
Tim is working with Synergia to develop and promote public relations and communication management applications of Synap. Tim is owner-manager of Auckland-based PR consultancy Communication by Design and is a life member of the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand.
